Give Them Romance is where Latinx characters and romantic fiction meet. Created by Sujeiry Gonzalez of Lovesujeiry.com, this newsletter serves as a creative space for experimentation and to share news about her books in development.

How It Began

An avid reader since 12 years old, Sujeiry struggled to find Latinx characters in books. That void pushed her to pursue a career in journalism after graduating from Rowan University with a Masters in Writing Arts.

Since 2006, Sujeiry has freelanced for various publications, including Latina Magazine, Hip Latina, Well + Good, Cosmopolitan, Madamenoire, YourTango, and many more. She self-published her first book, Love Trips, in 2012 after exhausting her options when trying to get traditionally published. Currently, she is working on her first romance novel and, although she hopes to get an agent and publishing house on board, Sujeiry also knows that their approval does not validate her talent.

Because our stories matters, even in the romance genre.

This is why Give Them Romance exists.
